Update October 2007
Summer was great here - mostly super weather and lots going on in the village.
Highlights were 2 or 3 outdoor concerts in the "Place d'Ambiance" in the centre of the village, the fete de Cavalcime, a weekend of of all things horsy! From exhibitions/competitions of horseshoe forging, to carriage driving and of course, lots of pony rides! Caroline took part in the all day ride up into the mountains on the Sunday, though having had the traditional meal and drinks the night before there were a few headaches being carried around that day - not Caroline, of course!
As we prepare for the coming winter - which all the locals are saying will be good (judging by the berries on the trees, the whistling of the marmots and any other naturistic thing they can think of - it's a time to carry out all the odd jobs around the chalet; varnishing window frames, painting shutters and redecorating apartments - it keeps us busy.
Winter is also looking good for us, most weeks are now fully booked with just a few places left in January to fill - time to get out the recipe books and plan this year's menus!
Although busy, Caroline has found time to go on a few lovely summer and autumnal walks - the most recent to lake Jovet, the photos are below.

Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to walk we go

It's tough this walking - you need a drink and food break

The snow has arrived - 12" in town and loads on the slopes. As I haven't been able to get up the mountain skiing - if you want to check the snow follow the link below to the Les Carroz web cams and you can see all the beautiful white slopes!
